Why the authorized center is the right choice for Smeg gas cooker service

A gas cooker handles flammable fuel — any bad repair can cause a leak or fire.

Authorized service partner of Smeg Italy
01

Technicians certified to handle gas

Our technicians are officially licensed to work with gas systems in Egypt and trained on Smeg specifically. We work from Smeg's official service manual.

Result Safe, spec-compliant repairs.
02

Genuine parts with certificates of origin

Valves, hoses and igniters must meet safety standards. Counterfeit parts cause leaks and uncontrolled ignition.

Result Long-term safety, no hidden risks.
03

Professional gas-leak detection

We use precise electronic gas detectors that catch the smallest leaks. Generalists rely on soapy water alone.

Result Hidden leaks are found and fixed before they become dangerous.
04

Safety certificate after every repair

Every repair ends with a documented safety certificate confirming the cooker is leak-free and safe to use.

Result An official record of your appliance's condition.
05

Written warranty that protects you

The warranty is printed on an official invoice and registered with Smeg Egypt.

Result If the fault returns, we fix it for free.

Serious warning — do not underestimate

Gas leaks from cookers are a leading cause of kitchen accidents in Egypt. An unqualified repair can mask a small leak that later grows into an explosion.

  • Any gas smell = call the authorized center immediately
  • Never try to service gas valves yourself
  • The hose needs replacing every two years even if it looks fine
  • Never use a cooker after an undocumented repair

An authorized repair protects your home and family.

01 I smell gas — what should I do before the technician arrives?

Shut the main gas tap immediately, open windows and doors for ventilation, keep away from any spark source (don't switch any electrical device on or off, don't use a lighter). Leave the kitchen and call from outside the house. Don't use the cooker until the technician checks it.

02 The flame is yellow — is that a fault?

Yes. A healthy flame should be fully blue. Yellow means the air/gas mix is lean on air — causing soot on pans, excess gas consumption and possible carbon-monoxide production. The technician re-tunes the mix and restores a blue flame in minutes.

03 How often does the gas hose need replacing?

A rubber gas hose should be replaced every two years even if it looks fine. Rubber stiffens with time and cracks from the inside. Inspect every 6 months and replace on schedule — it's the single most important cooker-safety step.

04 Can I convert my cooker from LPG to natural gas?

Yes — most Smeg models support conversion by changing the burner jets and re-tuning pressure. This must be done by a certified technician and ends with a safety certificate. Smeg supplies genuine conversion kits for its models.

05 The burner lights then goes out seconds later — why?

The most common cause is a fouled or failed thermocouple. This sensor holds the safety valve open as long as it detects flame. If it's not working, the valve shuts automatically to protect your family. Cleaning or replacement takes 30–45 minutes.
